CURRENT MISSION Enjoying life. ABOUT ME We're a family of four (mom, dad, son 10, daughter 8) in New York City. We just started home-schooling this past fall and want to travel more. One of our friends has couch-surfed and hosted a lot so we figured we'd give it a try. We have three new family members; pet rats that the kids are excited about. We have hosted international students through and educational institution and it's been great for the kids to interact with people from around the world.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING We're happy to host people and to spread the word about couch-surfing. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Just starting out on the CS site but as noted above we have hosted international students and we've also had various friends and relatives stay at our place.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I've been to some cool sporting events including he gold medal ice hockey game in 1980 at the Lake Placid Olympics. My wife and kids have all learned to speak Mandarin fluently. My wife lived in Taiwan for two years in the 1980s and still speaks, the kids used to go to a dual language school (now home schooled).
My Interests
My son and I are sports guys but have other interests as well. My wife and daughter are most interested in music and love movies. We all and love to experience different cultures including food.
