Being one of few hosts in the area means I get a lot of request. I always try to respond to the ones with the closest dates and if I your request date is a few weeks away, I won't know if I can host or not so I don't respond until I know. Just putting it out there so you don't think I'm ignoring you 😄 Summers can get very busy and adventurous so if you are coming in summer I probably have a full house and so only a couch available for CS guests. We also hangout a lot after work in summers so the summer vibe is usually more for travelers and not tourists if you know what I mean? If you are requesting from June to end of August and are happy to hangout, crash on the couch and life more like the local style then please mention that in your request so that I know you have read this section and won't be surprised! One of the best things about CS is that people get to do things that the normal tourist won't ever see and my favorite spot here is the local secret hot spring so I usually offer to take my guests there for a dip. It's very hot, completely natural and a once in a lifetime experience. The age old tradition is to enjoy the soak naked but luckily not many locals go there these days so most of the time we have the place to ourselves. Usually though other people from my house join every time I go so hopefully you are up for a real Icelandic adventure with us! Please mention the nude hot spring so I know you read all this and it helps me filter out the less chill and open minded people from my hoard of requests! 😂
