CURRENT MISSION Figuring out how to work less doing something I love and spend more time in Europe! ABOUT ME I grew up in Boulder, CO and spent some time in France and two years in Andover, MA before moving to Florence for a year to cultivate an artistic hobby and escape grade obsession. I focused on international security studies at Stanford, which I put to good use at an organic sorbet and gelato company, and now in Marketing for a consumer electronics company. My husband and I got married in Bellagio, Italy last year and are looking for good options for how to move to Europe, though we do love the Bay Area... PHILOSOPHY If I only think hard enough, I ought to be able to come up with a way to make money doing something about which I am really passionate (whatever that is), and have the time to enjoy it.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Usually through friends, or friends of friends, and always quite an adventure!
Music, Movies, and Books
Still topping my reading list are Catch-22, the Magus, a book called Propoganda, and The Tipping Point. I love The Thomas Crowne Affair, Gladiator, cheesy teen flicks that make you laugh, and Shrek and the like. In current heavy rotation: the latest from John Mayer, Ama, other good quasi-pop, and classics like Paul Simon and the Beatles.
My Interests
In general, epicurean delights: good food and wine, fun cars and fast drives, beauty, craftsmanship, color, finding "the best...." Interesting or even escapist books, Europe, with a particular love of Italy, and trying to understand our crazy world and the people in it.
