CURRENT MISSION To travel more widely and to entertain those passing this way, as time and space allow. I'm very proud of my home town, my state and my immediate community of friends. ABOUT ME Live alone but have surrounded myself with friends, many on my street. That's how I got into real estate, recruiting friends to buy in what was considered a less than desirable neighborhood. That was 25 years ago. Have always wanted my home to be an oasis for friends when in need, and it surely has been. Parents deceased but both of my siblings live in Lincoln. PHILOSOPHY Try to exercise good judgement without being judgemental. Make cheaper and different mistakes than the year before, or better still quietly learn from others mistakes.

I tend to read non-fiction, especially enjoying biographies, American History, cultural history.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I haven't done anything particularly amazing, but for a homebody and not a very adventuresome guy I've managed to visit Mexico, England, Istanbul and quite a few American cities. My travel generally has been opportunity based: if someone I like has an idea and does the legwork, I'll offer up my credit card number and make sure my passport is good to go.
Teach, Learn, Share
My skill might best be described as housing related. I really enjoy helping people figuring out their shelter options and what resources are most appropriate for them. Many times it's appropriate to rent or share housing, to remain flexible. I'm pretty good at sorting through information and applying common sense suggestions based upon a lifetime of quietly watching and listening and seeing the results, in my own life as well of those of social work clients, family members, neighbors, those I care about and one or two that I actually didn't care too much about. It's all interesting.
