CURRENT MISSION I am developing & promoting elpipes for long distance underground power transmission. ABOUT ME I am tall, like to dance free-style. I have always been an environmentalist, and lately that has crystallized into my personal mission, to change the way electric power is transmitted (see www.elpipes.com and www.ballisticbreaker.com). So far, this mission has not paid off, and I need low cost or free places to stay as I go to attend conferences around the world. I will be attending the ARPA-E Summit at the Gaylord National Convention Center in upcoming in Washington DC, another in Detroit in July, and one in Italy (May 29-June 3, 2011 Cetraro (Calabria), Italy). PHILOSOPHY In order to be effective, we need to find our niche. There are lots of important things that I'm happy leaving to others; my mission is applying technology to solve environmental problems. I have not paid so much attention to making money, but that is now changing.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I am happy to cook a meal and/or rub feet to say thanks. When I get back to having my own place again, I will host. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE So far, I have made connections on where to stay through one of my communities or Craig's List. I have not yet been hosted through couch-surf.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
I got 20% of the vote in the WI Republican primary running against a sitting senator (Bob Kasten). I called myself a Green Republican, and called for an historical re-structuring of our taxes: reductions of income, property, and sales taxes paid for by new taxes on pollution, resource depletion, and vice (including drugs and sugar content of prepared foods).

As I said, I cook, and give great foot rubs. I enjoy getting to know someone while rubbing their feet.
My Interests
I am an inventor. A lot of my passion goes into that. I can help with energy efficient designs, for example. My startup company Electric Pipeline Corporation is based on my inventions. I like hiking, swimming, and dancing. I especially like swimming at night, under the moon.
