Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I enjoy hosting and staying with people. I have met really great people doing both ends. While traveling, couch surfing hosts are great resources for learning about their towns and the culture of the region.

I like Sci-Fi books, especially Neil Stephenson and the Dungeon Crawler Carl series.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Kayaking around the Salton Sea in south-east California. It took us a week, we camped on the beach at night and paddled and sailed our kayak around the coastline during the day. I couldn't believe how many birds were there. I especially was amazed by all of the pelicans. I hiked the Arizona trail in 2017. I hiked the north half of the CDT in 2018. Jamie and I hike 200 miles (1/2) of the Oregon coast trail.
Teach, Learn, Share
I particularly love the sea/ocean. The salt water feels so alive to me, with so many animals of all sizes. I am a sailor and kayaker and love to explore coastlines. In Resurrection Bay, we have seen seals, sea lions, whales, porpoise, eagles, bears, mountain goats and otters all from our kayak!
