CURRENT MISSION See the World and meet cool people ABOUT ME I have engaged in several different careers. I prefer to be self-employed. I work part-time for an airline to help with the costs of traveling. I want to see the World and meet cool people and experience what life has to offer. I am currently writing a book and a screenplay. A non-fiction book is on the back burner right now. I am married and have four kids. When I travel with the kids I would not be couch surfing unless you are crazy. I see couch surfing as a way to meet cool people who would be able to steer me in the right direction when visiting a new place. I have at least 2 beds and a couch for you to visit. I would not recommend visiting on a school night unless you are a morning person. I look forward to making new friends. Sam PHILOSOPHY I value experiences over material things. While I like the things that I've acquired, my best memories involve people and experiences, not things.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I am looking forward to hosting nice people who want to see beautiful Sun Valley Idaho and the Sawtooth Mountains in Central Idaho. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I have surfed on friends couches in Sacramento, California and Rostock, Germany. It's better to stay with friends than in a hotel.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
I've been to the Grand Canyon, snorkled, run 2 marathons, and have sailed in Puget Sound. I've been to 16 different Major League baseball stadiums and saw the Oakland A's win the 1989 World Series. I've seen snow in the desert and a Moose family living in my back yard. I've seen meteor showers and have seen waterfalls in Yosemite National Park. I've seen the birth of four kids. I've been in earthquakes in four different states and felt the earth shake when I made love on the beach. I swam with sting rays and I've walked next to bears in the wilderness. I was awestruck by Notre Dame in Paris and Fort San Cristobal in San Juan Puerto Rico. I like the full moon and lightning storms.
My Interests
Traveling, learning about new places, hiking, biking, writing, running, beaches, eating where the locals eat, baseball, making new friends.
