Music, Movies, and Books
First off, i'm hopeless with names of singers/songs/bands/movies/act ors/writers etc etc, but i know what i like when i see/hear/read it. I'm pretty open minded about listening/seeing new things. music:cat empire, john butler, missy higgins, bob dylan, jack johnson, the waifs, xavier rudd, andrew winton, harry manx, classic Aussie pub rock music, rhythm/percussion, all the other usuals greenday, pearl jam, etc as well as classical and indigenous stuff. movies: something that makes you think! not the soppy romance flicks. And not horror. Love australian films too. And good comedy. Lantana, little fish, japanese story, the matrix, can't think of any more at the moment... books: captain corelli's mandolin (louis de bernieres), memoirs of a geisha (can't remember), a fine balance (by an indian guy, can't remember his name), dirt music (tim winton)... i'll add more later when my brain is working!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Worked on a sail boat on the awesome Ningaloo Reef taking people snorkelling and sightseeing, seeing the wonder in their eyes day after day, no matter where they came from in the world. Absolutely loving my job every day, and never being able to take it for granted!

My Interests
anything outdoors, especially the ocean ~snorkelling ~scuba diving ~sailing ~fire twirling ~music: rootsy, folk, alternative, blues, traditional, all sorts really! I love a good drumming/percussion rhythm too, anything to get me dancing, singing, playing along, or fire twirling! ~camping ~bushwalking ~kayaking ~surfing ~theatre (mostly modern or indigenous stuff) ~coastal/marine science and conservation (BIG passion - this is what I'm studying!) ~sociology ~youth work ~kids: other people's (i don't have any) that way you can always give them back when you get tired of playing hide-and-seek or chasey! ~indigenous cultures/people/traditions ~snowboarding ~photography ~sightseeing
