CURRENT MISSION I want to engage with adventurous, fun-loving, open minded people. ABOUT ME I'm a serious, contemplative, wacky, adventurous, whimsical person. I'm also a divorced, jointly custodial parent of a beautiful brilliant eight year old girl. I work hard at my job to make public education more effective and see some success there. I like good times and fellowship. I like to oil the rusty works of life with a little humor. I like to laugh and don't mind being laughed at. Because of my active lifestyle, many of my friends are 10-15 years younger than me. I have several good friends and we all enjoy food, alcohol, etc. (you can decline--no pressure). I like music (listening and playing) and nature. PHILOSOPHY Every living organism is connected to every other living organism. Change is constant; without the threat of death there is no sense of adventure.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I just think couchsurfing seems like a good concept; I like the way it makes the abstraction of the web community into something concrete and useful. I know a lot about my community and think it would be a good place to visit or crash for a stopover. Because I'm older than a lot of the participants, I think I can offer the use of a property that's a little more comfortable than some others. I want to be a goodwill ambassador. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Somewhat frequent couchsurfing prior to its "copyrighting"--college trips (Spring Break, road trips, etc.); following concerts; a couple of European trips;family trips.
Music, Movies, and Books
Every book, most music, and probably a couple of movies a year. Most recently viewed/enjoyed: Little Miss Sunshine, Jandek on Corwood, the Mood Swingers. Walt Whitman is the greatest poet who ever lived.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Duuuuude. No way in this forum or in this small space. Come visit me. I'll show you some shit. We'll trade stories.
Teach, Learn, Share
By profession, I provide professional development education to governing boards (school boards, corporate boards of directors, etc.) and their chief executives (superintendents, CEO's) about research-proven best practices for maximum effectiveness. I also spent a decade teaching canonical works of American Literature written between 1507 and 1990.
