Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING opening up anything for anyone (couches, contexts, chances, creativity, cans, other c words) COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE a friend and i roadtripped to boston from ohio. our hearts sank one night as we returned to find our car missing from the street where we parked. after a police report, APBs, calls home for emergergency money, and a hotelroom we couldn't afford, we met two strangers at a coffee shop who took a moment to connect with our struggle. after a night of talking, they invited us to stay on their couch. we left the stale hotelroom and entered their lives for a night. what an amazing feeling that these strangers would reach out through the fear of modern media to help two people in need. the next morning we set about to find our car and actually did! - in the same place we left it, which was one block over from the street where we were looking the night before.
