COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE None at all; one of the guys at work recommended it to me. And I took his word that it was a really awesome way to travel.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: The Big Sleep, Spirited Away, Pan's Labyrinth, The Science of Sleep, Lost in Translation, The Matrix, Black Sheep, Enternal Sunshine, The Big Lebowski Books: Stephen Donaldson, Terry Pratchett, George RR Martin, and of course Tolkien; Shakespeare, Walter Scott, Joseph Heller and a mixed bag of Ian Rankins and other miscellany. Also, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance is a classic. Music: Folk, rock, pop and indie mainly. From Elvis to the Fratellis, Belle and Sebastian, Bowie, Feist, Modest Mouse, Amy McDonald, The Beatles, Nirvana, Queen. Stripped back acoustic stuff is generally great. In fact, most music is great; with the general exceptions of rap, hiphop, and techno.
My Interests
Whisky. It's fantastic stuff. And my first love is of course my acoustic guitar. In fact, put the two together and have a tipsy singalong around the BBQ. What more could you ask for?
