HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I have a couple futons in my living room, nothing grandiose, but if you need a place to flop in Kingston I'm happy to provide the same thing touring musicians hope for - a bed, shower, clean towels, and directions to the nearest Tom Horton's. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've done about 50,000km (31,000mi) of touring, averaging over 400km (250mi) a day, playing every night, often staying at the home of venue staff or other musicians. Touring musicians have an understanding that one doesn't mess with those who provide a place to crash, otherwise free accommodations will become hard to find. I ask the same of CouchSurfers, and in turn hope to draw the attention of CouchSurfer hosts to the plight of touring bands.

My interest in music is very work-related, I most like up-and-coming acts not only for their music but also for the journey they're on. I don't watch a lot of movies but some I've really liked are Michael Clayton, The Crossing Guard, 25th Hour, The Ninth Gate, Traffik, Two Days In The Valley, Harrison's Flowers, and anything produced/directed by David Lynch or the Coen brothers. They should really collaborate on a real epic.
