*I am openly gay so if this offends or excites you then I would rather not meet up* *I've previously had a bad CS experience which I was forced to report, so I advise my future hosts or guests only to contact me if their intentions are to bond as travellers and not in any other way.* @GlobeSurfing I am currently exploring Brazil for the next 4 months. It is my 4th time in this wonderful country. In September 2014 I decided to say farewell to the daily grind and embarked on a 9 month backpacking trip of Asia and NZ, followed by living and working in Melbourne, Australia for a year. In Australia I developed a passion for hiking and camping and took several trips to explore the bush in Aus. I returned to London in 2016 where I spent the summer touring the UK, living in a tent working a festival season. In 2017 I spent the year travelling through South America, passing through 7 countries, before finally arriving in Canada to live. I spent 2 years living in Victoria & Vancouver BC, including a stint living out of my mini van touring the Canadian Rockies. I will be travelling around Brazil from September 2019- February 2020 and then onto Nepal to hike the Annapurna Circuit. ABOUT ME I am very much into sharing the joy that travel brings. My outlet is Instagram, where I let people know how to get to beautiful places on a budget www.instagram.com/globesurfing feel free to follow me there. I believe that travel truly has the power to transform the lives of those who are privileged enough to indulge in it. I am a very open-minded non awkward human being who likes to interact with interesting people. There isn't much I won't talk about. I do not condemn anybody who doesn't share my attitudes towards life, I'm pretty open to other ideas and generally like people to feel comfortable and happy in my presence. I

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I am not in this for free places to stay but more for meeting new and interesting people, as couch surfers usually are. I've met some incredible travellers during my trip and I hope to build on this by meeting as many locals and expats as possible. Locals can teach me more about where I am than any Lonely Planet guide. Hoping to make new friends from all over the world and re-pay the favour if they ever want to come out to Europe or wherever I end up in the future.
Music, Movies, and Books
I have a very eclectic taste in music. I LOVE movies. I haven't watched nearly enough foreign films as I should have, so always welcome recommendations. Thousand Splendid Suns, High Fidelity, The Alchemist, The Power of Now, Into the Wild, Shantaram but to name a few.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Hiked the Overland track in Tasmania Attended the womens march in NYC in Jan 2017 Hiked to the Lost City in Colombias Sierra Nevada jungle. Hiked the Santa Cruz track in Peru which involved waking up to the sun rising over snowcapped mountains. Hiked the Salkantay track to Machu Picchu and spent 10 hours exploring the ruins and trying to feed llamas! Drove a camper van around New Zealand's south island for 2 weeks. Traveled Asia solo for 9 months. Lived out of my mini van for a few months in Canada’s most beautiful locations
