CURRENT MISSION See what's out there and find my place in the big picture. ABOUT ME I'm just your normal computer guy schlepping around, but when I'm not working I'm trying to restore one of my old Volvos or fix one of my current daily drivers. I'm looking to transplant myself to the seattle area and am trying to get my "schtuff" together in order to do it. My passions are vintage Volvos (-'72) and bicycles, mainly vintage mountainbikes. I was a mechanic for a number of years and would love to open a shop of my own, but with a pub/eatery attached. There's nothing like some good beer with friends after a long ride. I figure the West Coast is the place to put my plans into action. I would like to travel more than I have, so I really need to get on that, then. I want to see what different places have to offer and what I have to offer them. PHILOSOPHY Do unto others.... I have tried to put myself in others' shoes in order to really understand them. Everyone's entitled to his/her opinions and so am I. I'm not really into proselytization.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Well, I have a couch, and have hosted before. Although I don't live in a very exciting area, I like to show newcomers what this area does have to offer, and there's a lot. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE So far, so good.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
I've seen a bunch of different animals born, including humans. I think that's amazing, I mean, I was the first person the newcomer sees in his/her/its life, and that's awesome. Stood in the wilderness, hundreds of miles from civilization and watched the sun rise over the tops of mountains. Been in love.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know computers, mechanics, bicycles, and a bunch of other stuff. I'm pretty resourceful. I'd love to learn tig welding. But, I'm open to anything.
