CURRENT MISSION Meet cool people on the journey of life ABOUT ME My wife and I moved to Philadelphia in the summer of 2006, so that I could start my ophthalmology residency at the University of Pennsylvania. Philadelphia is a city that grows on you. We didn't like it very much at first, especially compared to San Francisco and Boston where we had lived before. However, we have found some affordable restaurants, made some new friends, and adjusted to life out in this gritty, hard working city. PHILOSOPHY Be good to others

One Amazing Thing I've Done
Spent a year teaching biology in Casablanca, Morocco. Volunteered at Operation Smile and saw the most amazing, life-transforming surgeries on children with cleft-lips. Spent a month in South Africa driving around the country and exploring the outdoors. Have delivered babies, treated people with gunshot wounds, and done eye surgery to cure the blind. Spent a month in Ecuador learning Spanish, but that was years ago
