Heyy! My name is Abi, I am an avid traveller who loves to see the world and learn about different cultures, languages and people. I am currently pursuing a career in Education and hope to one day soon be a Kindergarten teacher, I love using my creativity and knowledge to help children meet their learning goals and needs. I am adventurous at heart and have been told to be warm, welcoming and easy-going. I like talking about how to better the world we are in and participating in efforts to do so. My academic background is in Community Development and Educational Studies and Digital Technology, I am always interested in learning how to offer my skills to help communities be sustainable unto themselves both environmentally, economically and socially. Personally, I have a love affair with the ocean and love visiting the beach almost everywhere I go that has a coast. As someone who likes history and learning about different cultures and the sorts I always question what the ocean would tell us in regards to certain historical events if it could, or water at that. Afterall whether through a lake, river, creek or ocean its the one resource on the planet that recycles itself through time and could be a testament to humanity...don't you think? Aside from this, I also have an interest in wildlife and my most memorable moments of travelling has been the giraffe centre in Nairobi and exploring the ocean floor in Mombasa. Foodwise, I try almost every food once and am not too picky but enjoy a meal that is tasty and filling at the same time. I also like to explore new scenes like cafes, bars and poetry shows and love video games and teched out places. Lastly I do love meeting new people especially those with good vibes and I would love to show people the parts of Canada I am living in, so if you are coming to Canada let me know and we can meet up and check out the scenes.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I want to meet the locals of countries and cities I am visiting to learn and experience the country from their eyes and views. I believe that we all have gifts we bring to this table called life and the only way we can appreciate each other's gifts brought is to understand the perspective of the gift provider. I also like to meet new people and have home experiences when visiting a place and to share my own experiences with others and create connections in the places I visit. I also would love to show people around either Toronto if I am in the East or Edmonton and Calgary if I am in the West. I love my cities and my country and I love showing people around the place and exposing them to the diversity of these cities so if you are in Canada while I am hit me up.

My Interests
I love to be pampered and be relaxed (lol). So I am always interested in checking out local spas, hot springs, mud pools, and the sorts and I love extreme adventures so going paragliding, rafting and those things are also of interest to me. I also like a good night out so if anyone wants to get together to head to a party or a nice festive event let me know, and I am into Spirituality (Christianity) and enjoy talking about my faith with those who have a common interest and attending churches in different countries to see how they do praise and worship. I do need to put a disclaimer that I do not force my faith onto people and am private about my faith, as well as respect people's boundaries and differences, 's when it comes to their own practices, I too expect that respect in return.
