This is my profile described from a few years ago when I was traveling, but I’m leaving it here bc it’s cute lol: Hey! My name is Adam. I'm a 19yr old kid from a small town in the USA who is fascinated by the world around us. I'm currently on a gap year after completing my first year of college at USC in Los Angeles. I am traveling through South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Japan mostly through homestays to be immersed into the daily culture. I mainly use Workaway and provide help with teaching english or farming. I do my very best to help and serve as a temporary family member of whomever I stay with. I'm also so grateful to everyone who offers up their home and time to let me get a brief glimpse into their life! Who is Adam Novak , you ask? I'd say that I'm.... hmmm....... spontaneous, flexible, positive, and ambiverted (I can be both extroverted and introverted) . I absolutely love new experiences and trying new things. I'm a big fan of deep conversations of any sort, but I believe that time to lighten up and just have some fun is equally as important. Some of my favorite pasttimes include: 🌳Appreciating nature 🎶Musical / artistical performances/ showings of any kind 🎲Playing board games ⛹🏻🏋🏻🏃🏻Exercise and sports, especially basketball 🍳Cooking (although im not the best cook) 🙏🏻Meditating 📖Reading 🙂🙃Sharing stories I grew up in a small farm state called Tennessee (near Texas) in the USA for most of my life and had little exposure to cultures outside of my own. In high school and college I began to meet people of different ethnicities, religions, and cultures, which changed everything for me. ↘️↘️I now have a very large interest in the different ways in which people live, their mentalities behind doing so, and the history behind it. I view life as an adventure and a constant learning process. There is always a new idea to consider, conversation to have, piece of history to learn -- it never ends ! Lastly,,, I have been studying Korean for about a year now! My friend whimsically suggested it at first but I began to really enjoy learning it. I think languages are beautiful and I'm amazed at people who can speak multiple. ****By the way - I don't drink alcohol and I don't eat meat outside of fish (but I love to experiment and try new things)
