About us: Couchsurfing connects people who are cut from the same cloth. They are interested in discovering new countries, different cultures and exciting, unique people. They use every opportunity to travel the world and experience new things - so we are as well! Our friends and family complain that we are always "on tour" because we use any possible occasion to get out and discover new places. We have already seen great parts of Europe but there is still enough to explore. In our "normal" life we both are students - Oliver: M.S. in Intelligent Systems, Ana LL.B. in Taxation (no, it really IS fun!) - and currently writing our thesis.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
We used to travel the usual way (i.e. hotels, hostels, airbnb) but now we would like to try another way. During our journeys we made the experience that locals gave us extraordinary and unusual insight into their city/culture and the best recommendations according to sightseeing, restaurants & places to be.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can teach you how to bake typical German cakes like "Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte" even under difficult conditions like being in a small pueblo in Chile with limited resources :-) Mostly legal ways how to safe taxes when you plan to start working in Germany and how to drink vodka the right way (Ana is originally from Russia).
What I Can Share With Hosts
All the delicious stuff from Germany like chocolate, gummy bears (Haribo) and cheese. Insights into current developments of the artificial intelligence and how not to be too scared about it :-)
