I'm a student of life who's very interested in the cultures of the world. Food, language, music, nature, arts..... I bounce around a bit growing up between Ukraine, Canada, Prague, and New York, so I've been traveling all my life; and learned to love it quite quickly. I'm traveling with my partner (Lam) who also speaks Japanese and works as a cook.

Music, Movies, and Books
My most favorite movie is Dance of Reality by Alejandro Jodorowsky. I recommend it to everyone!!! I like very boring strange Japanese films.... I can teach you a lot about Japanese cinema as I used to work for a Japanese film program. I like atmospheric films. If you know what I mean I am obsessed with all books by Carlos Castaneda, Haruki Murakami and Ryu Murakami. Maybe a bit typical haha I have an idea to read one book by a famous author from each country I travel to, but I am not such a fast reader...this will be done still
