Hi everyone! My name is Ariel and I am from Cuiabá, Brazil! For this past year, I have been studying in the U.S.! I part of the Phillips Academy class of '16. I love arts (especially ceramics and contemporary art) and philosophy, so if you are interested in anything like that, we will be best friends in no time! If you are not, don't worry; we will still be best friends. I know some good Brazilian recipes, in case any of you are interested (disclaimer: I am a horrible cooker, but well, we can learn together). I'll be studying at Bates College next year. Also, I know this may come as a surprise, but I am funny. Sometimes. Look forward to meeting new people!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing to meet people who can teach me more about things that I don't know. I am one of those people who value shared knowledge and experiences. In a nutshell, I like to exchange stories. I have never been hosted or hosted with couchsurfing yet, so I look forward to that.
Music, Movies, and Books

I am currently building a technological glove that can perceive color! (spoiler alert: it's super fun)
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn anything I don't know. About teaching, it goes from Portuguese to whistling. I'll make a list: I know how to whistle in 5 different ways Portuguese language 'Brigadeiro,' the best dessert ever I can blab about arts history for hours (no?) I know people from all 26 Brazilian states I've been vegetarian for 10 years, so I must know something about it
What I Can Share With Hosts
Experiences, food, laughs, bad jokes, culture, respect, and good Brazilian recipes.
My Interests
I like philosophy and all kinds of art! I have done some ceramics, sculpture and painting. Recently, I have come to be really interested in contemporary art.
