I am a clinical psychologist working as a telehealth therapist. I take health insurance and offer a low sliding scale, so I'm not exactly getting rich in this profession, lol! My values are anticapitalist and anti-authoritarian. I enjoy coffee, whiskey, meeting other radicals, connecting with nature, and talking about philosophy, books, movies, music, and art.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
After 16 years in New York City, I need less noise, breathable air, and friendlier neighbors. I am planning to move out of the city in fall 2025 and am exploring places I might want to re-locate to. I live in a big, beautiful state and want to see all that it has to offer!
Music, Movies, and Books
Currently reading Enemy Feminisms by Sophie Lewis for book club. It's so good. Books that have had a lasting impact on me are Walden (Thoreau), Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (Pirsig), The Technological Society (French anarchist priest Jaques Ellul), and Mutual Aid (Kropotkin). I read a lot of psychology books for work -- really appreciate Gabor Mate, haven't read anything by him I didn't like.
One Amazing Thing I've Done

Teach, Learn, Share
I'm happy to talk about psychology, or not--I won't try to psychoanalyze you as that's what I do for a job! :P I am self-taught in Python (the programming language), can sing harmonies with you if we're jamming, and know how to build a fire that catches with only one match.
What I Can Share With Hosts
My absolute undying gratitude, and a bottle of wine if you're into that!
