I am originally from a small strange mountain town in the SouthWest of the USA. I moved to Bosnia to attend the United World College when I was 17. Eastern Europe still fills a special place in my heart. Now I live and study in Singapore. Activism surrounding social and environmental justice are big for me. Music, Movies, and Books
Difficult question... Music taste encompasses a lot. I listen to everything from rap/hiphop (Kendrick, Tyler the Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Octavian Christie, Giggs, Frank Ocean) to rock (The Arctic Monkeys, Rage Against the Machine, the Strokes, Black Sabbath) to Lo Fi (Ebbe Funk, Simpson Wave, shiloh) to artists that don't seem to fit into any genre (Nikolas Jaar, Gus Dapperton, Tame Impala, MGMT). I'm a big fan of Requiem for a Dream. Oh also really absurd films like Fantastic Planet. I love reading, and once again my tastes range a lot. Right now I am reading The Last Children of Tokyo. I went through a big Margaret Atwood phase recently. I like dystopian fiction. More than anything I want to expand my cultural repertoire. So I am looking for new suggestions for all of these!
