Hey guys, I'm quite new here so bear with me! I'm a student from Brisbane, Australia and currently am on a semester-long exchange in Vienna, Austria! I'm studying history and German.
Interested in Adventure Sports
Interested in Concerts
Fluent in German
Learning Spanish
Why I'm on Couchsurfing
It's a great way to meet locals and experience different cultures, which is the reason why most of us travel anyway, right?
Music, Movies, and Books
Amelie, Before Sunrise, Joni Mitchell, anything with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, folk music in general :)
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Skydiving is the most extreme thing I've done! Because I'm Australian of course it was over the beach with the most stunning view over Fraser Island. skydiving over the Alps is next on my bucket list :) The most "amazing" though would be going on exchange to Austria for 6 months to improve my German and gain some much-needed independence (actually I'm writing this from Austria). I went to a Viennese ball with an Austrian friend and learned the waltz and the quadrille ... that was one of the most bizarre but fun experiences I have ever had.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you the very basics of yoga and mindfulness meditation, some German (unless you're a native speaker), a little Vietnamese, Australian slang that nobody actually uses, and how to cook vegetarian food that will blow your mind (tip: just use every spice in the cupboard ... and sweet potato)
What I Can Share With Hosts
my culture (as an Australian-born Vietnamese girl!), a burning curiosity about your country/culture/background, cleanliness and a helping hand around the house, lots of laughter and conversation
My Interests
yoga, meditation, running, indoor rock climbing, hiking, reading, languages!, vegetarian food, THE BEACH (aka my home), live music, chilling with nice people ...... generally anything really relaxing
