Hi, I'm Chris, a thoughtful traveller with a deep love for culture, history, and meaningful human connection. I'm Greek-Australian by background, currently based in Cyprus, and passionate about learning from the stories, traditions, and people of each place I visit. I’ve worked as a teacher, translator, and now working toward becoming a tour guide in Cyprus. But beyond my academic side, I'm also someone who values real conversations, slow mornings, and shared meals. I’ve been on a journey of inner healing these past few years, so I'm drawn to kind, open-minded people who respect both boundaries and depth. I’m not the loudest in the room, but I’ll be the one helping with dishes, listening with presence, or exchanging stories about life’s more meaningful turns. I love exploring hidden gems (especially old towns, monasteries, and natural landscapes), cooking plant-based meals, and talking about everything from spirituality to 90s music to what makes a place feel like home. If you're someone who enjoys thoughtful connection, mutual respect, and a calm but curious presence in your space - we’ll get along well :)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I’m here because I believe the soul of travel isn’t in ticking off landmarks, but in meeting the people who live behind the scenes of every place; the everyday lives that make a city or village feel alive.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I completely rebuilt my inner world from the ground up, and began healing with grace, courage, and honesty. It took years of unlearning, therapy, and spiritual searching, but I finally found my own voice, my own values, and a life that feels truly mine.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach you some Modern or Ancient Greek or tell stories from history that aren’t in the guidebooks :) Learn: I’m always eager to learn how people live, what they value, and how they see the world. Share: I’ll share honest conversation, quiet moments, playlists from around the world, or a walk through the streets with open eyes.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I can offer thoughtful conversation, a deep curiosity for your culture, and genuine respect for your space and boundaries. I’m happy to cook a simple meal (especially Mediterranean or plant-based dishes), help around the house, or share stories from my background in history, languages, and theology, if that’s your thing! I’m also a good listener, and always open to meaningful exchanges, whether it’s a quiet coffee in the morning or a late-night chat about life. I don’t take your hospitality for granted, and I always aim to leave your space better than I found it.
