Why I don't have references (written Nov 2016): I joined Couchsurfing a while ago but didn't really have time to set it up properly and I was really just setting it up to see what it was all about. I have no references because the first person I stayed with, organised through my Couchsurfing account, was a host in the Virgin Islands about a week ago (Nov 16). Two people you will find in my Couchsurfing friend's list who might be able to provide you with a reference are: In Rio I stayed with Felipe Barroso and his friends for a night. The reason I have no reference from them is that we did not organise that through Couchsurfing. We just met at Carnival and they said they were involved with Couchsurfing and that's when I asked if I would be able to stay with them. I've also stayed with Clif Cessant in Miami and the reason I have no reference from him is that that was organised through my friend's Couchsurfing account so he did not leave a reference for me. Aside from that: I love the beach, spending time with friends and family and meeting new people I love travelling and have been to many countries as you'll see from my profile I seek to be honest, kind, respectful and I want my actions to reflect my love for God and the people I believe he loves so much (everyone) I am outgoing, happy, optimistic, try to understand everyone Before I started the teaching degree, I did part of a social work degree Of course, couchsurfing is a way of saving money when you're travelling but I also think it's a great way to meet people and get to spend time with locals who will hopefully come to Sydney and I can host in return I'm not looking for people to hook up with while I'm couchsurfing - just to be clear - I'm just looking for new friends from different parts of the world When I finish my teaching degree at the end of next year, I'm planning to go back to Brazil - so you might have a place to stay there, too, if I do
