I currently live and work full time as a caregiver at an animal sanctuary in Grass Valley, CA., and love it! I enjoy exploring on my days off. Prior to now, I have worked at nursing homes, in customer service, and completed a service year in AmeriCorps. I am also a huge animal and nature lover, and am vegan. I would describe myself as a compassionate, open-minded and an adventurous person. Also I think connecting with others and stepping out of one’s comfort zones are the greatest things!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I really enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories. I think that hearing different perspectives is such a valuable thing, and I would love to continue making friends and hearing people's experiences. Although I plan on tent camping for some nights throughout my trip, Couchsurfing seems like a great alternative to simply getting a motel or Airb&b.

In college, I joined a skydiving club and went through a class so that I could complete a static line jump on my own
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to one day be fluent in Spanish since I have taken it throughout my schooling, but I definitely still have a ways to go. (But I would like to learn more about any other language as well) I love to volunteer as a dog walker at my local animal shelter. I also socialize the dogs by taking them off site to go trail walking!
