Aside from two trips when I was much younger, I have never left the East Coast of the US and want to change that! I love art and aspire to one day be a tattoo artist (sorry mom and dad). I know the experiences gained from traveling would give me tons of inspiration to work with. But most of all I just want to do things; I want to meet people, eat local foods, and learn about different cultures.

Staying in a hotel and getting the "tourist" experience really doesn't interest me, I want to meet locals and learn from them. I want to experience places by genuinely connecting with people and the culture, something that usually doesn't happen when staying in a hotel.
