(2025) It seems I haven't updated my account for another 3 years. Here in Longtan we don't have many couchsurfers. So since 3 years ago, we began to host visitors via Workaway, from which we got much more requests. We don't have much work needed from our guests, but mostly for friendship, like here. We still love to host couchsurfers and enjoy couchsurfing around the world. So, welcome to request, world. **** (2022) We remodeled our house 3 years ago. Check My Home out. ( Time flies. it's been 3 years!!) My place, LongTan, is 35 minutes away from the airport by car, so I am usually willing to pick up pr drop off my guests at the airport. It takes 50-60 minutes to Taipei center by public transportation. I am a 50 y.o. male married to a beautiful wife with 3 adorable children ( 21, 19, 17), and a PE and Special ed. teacher. As the older 2 children goes to university, now we have only 3 people at home on weekdays. I enjoy sports. I also like exciting activities like bungie jumping, parachuting, skiing, breaking 100m world record, going to the Space.....ha-ha, none of those I've done.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Every time after hosting travelers, I feel like I have enjoyed a travel myself. Most people live around people and travel to see scenery. But I dream about living in a scenery and traveling to meet people. Before that dream comes true, hosting offers me to travel in people. So, why not? I met a couchsurfer, Eva, in Taitung, Taiwan, and invited her to my place in Taoyuan before she left Taiwan. And glad she did come. She told me about couchsurfing and I thought it's so cool and fun. Since I like meeting people around the world and have no time and money to meet them across the ocean. So, why wouldn't you come to meet me?
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Hold the records of Taiwan on the M40 800m, M45 800m, 1500m, 4x400m running, and M50 1500m. Won 2 gold medals in the 2017 Asia Master Athletics Meeting. Won 10 consecutive championships in running races.

My wife enjoys music, reading and cooking. Elisa, 24, now a kindergarten teacher, likes music, volley ball, badminton, making friends, and speaks good English. Nathan, 22, likes soccer, Lego, and movies . Tess, 20, is talented in sports, too , enjoys hanging out with friends and watching films.
