Well I grew up in southern Oregon and I tend to enjoy the outdoors, hunting and fishing and the like. I also love cars and enjoy working on my BMW and my 67 Mustang as well. I compete in the summer time in the Scottish highland games festivals we have here in the Pacific Northwest. I'm quite easygoing and just want to meet cool new people.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
To be perfectly honest my brother said I should give this a try and that he has had some success hosting people in Eugene. I am going to Austin, Texas soon and was hoping to see some of the real city as opposed to what a magazine or website said I should. This seems like a great way to do that.
Music, Movies, and Books
I read a lot of scifi and fantasy novels as well as some heavier stuff like political treatises from Austrian economists and philosophical books, things like Plato, or Marcus Aurelius' Meditations.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I once caught a 22" cutthroat trout after stomping down three miles of creek to get to the hole she was laid up in. After a mighty battle I released her so she could lay the egg clutch she was swollen with. That was a beautiful day.
