I am a 26 years young paramedic working for the German Red Cross. In October I will start studying hydraulic engineering in Dresden, Germany. Although growing up in a village I have fallen in love with big city life. The region I live in grows a lot of delicious wine and is often called the German Tuscany. This is how friends characterize me: old soul with an optimistic attitude towards life, simple, good-natured, respectful, open-minded.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing connects people from all over the world. The Couchsurfing community is not selling a service to tourists but rather is offering an honest and authentic hospitality. I think as a traveller it is most important to connect with people because it is people who create cultures and not geographical locations.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
During the last ebola crisis I volunteered as a water technician in Monrovia, Liberia, and worked with the German Red Cross to set up and run an ebola treatment unit. In my youth I volunteered in Ghana, West Africa, in a hospital for 12 months. Best time of my life!
