Hi! I am a Vancouverite soon to be traveling south for a few months (or more!). I love my home, BC, because it allows me to do what I love most: exploring the outdoors, hiking, climbing, kayaking, lounging on a beach or lake side, playing sports in a field, going on a killer road trip in the middle of no where, or finding a hidden waterfall... I love being around good people, and surround myself with them whenever I get the opportunity, both locally and globally. Food and drink, good conversation, getting active, playing music, and exploring (from big cities to small towns to mountain ranges) are my favourite things to do for sure, ideally with old and/or new friends!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I just graduated and am planning a 3+ month trip to Central and South America in October(ish) 2015. I'm wanting to make some connections early, but in addition to that, I want to take part in some local events, and hopefully find a couch to crash on for the many road trips I tend to make in the summer! Love learning the local way, and even though I am a tourist in any foreign city, I wan to know the good local spots! If you or someone you know has done a South America trip or lives in South America, please get in touch with me! I would love all the tips I can get! So far, I plan to start in Costa Rica, volunteering and surfing, then to continue zigzagging south, traveling with people I meet along the way! For sure places to hit: Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Argentina in no particular order. Locations? Galapagos Islands, Bolivian Salt Flats, Machu Picchu, Amazon Jungle (in some capacity...), Patagonia. Hostels and Couchsurfing. I thought I would make an account in advance!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I camped on the tippy top of Black Tusk Mountain, which is in Garabaldi Provincial Park, BC. 2319 meters up! It is a lengthy climb, with one portion being at least 80% verticle and requiring some rock climbing skills! Watched the sun go down and come up, enjoyed every minute of it. Hint: my profile picture is from that night!
What I Can Share With Hosts
I am a true proud Canadian! I love to try new things, learn from the locals... and I'm not such a bad cook either; if you host me, I promise to be perfectly polite, perfectly clean, and extremely appreciative! If there is a guitar around, I will attempt to serenade you, though don't expect a Beyonce... Strong believer in what goes around comes around, so if let me know if you're ever in my neck of the woods!
