Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I was reading a blog from a girl originally from Argentina and she travels all over the world. She writes books and writes about her travels on her blog, and she highly recommended Couchsurfing. I had heard good things about it and I want to travel cheaply, so I decided to try it out. I love to meet new friends all over the world! :)
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love all types of genres, especially Indie/Alternative, Country, and Pop! Movies: I don't have a favorite movie, but I really love comedies, especially comedies featuring Will Ferrell. I really dislike horror films (why would I want to watch a movie that would scare me?!). Books: Captivating, The Prodigal God, Lord of the Flies, 1984, Crime and Punishment, Mere Christianity, No Exit
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I spent a week in Guatemala for a service project. I first visited Antigua, where I got to visit las ruinas and watch the World Cup in a local bar. I then spent the next five days in San Antonio Illotenango, a very rural village in the Quiché state. We were building stoves for people's kitchens. Our final day was spent in Panajachel on Lago Atitlan. It was a fantastic experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn as much as I can about other people's cultures and their lovely homes.
My Interests
I really enjoy learning about new cultures. I have traveled to Guatemala, Peru, Uruguay, Colombia, and I spent five months studying Spanish in Córdoba, Argentina. I love being active--playing sports, being outdoors, dancing, meeting new people, hiking, making music, etc. I am always moving!
