I’m someone who genuinely enjoys people. I’m funny, and always ready for a good conversation about almost any topic. I love activities that involve meeting others, sharing stories, and creating memories. Dancing is one of my happy places; salsa and electronic music are my favorites, but if there’s rhythm, I’m moving. I’m originally from Quito, Ecuador, a city literally in the middle of the world. We don’t have seasons, just dry and wet, but Quito likes to surprise you with sun, rain, and wind all in the same afternoon. Growing up there taught me to appreciate unpredictability and to always look for the positive side of things. I’m a designer and photographer, so I naturally gravitate toward art and creative expression. I love exploring cities through the eyes of locals, discovering hidden cafés, neighborhood stories, and the small details that tourists usually miss. I’m respectful, organized, and very mindful of house rules and routines. I grew up with pets and still remember my rescue dog Tony with a lot of love, so I’m very comfortable around animals. I first discovered Couchsurfing back in Ecuador, meeting travelers and sharing experiences. Now that I live in Toronto, where the community is incredibly active, I’m excited to connect again, meet locals, and build long‑lasting friendships.

Something I would tell my younger self is...
Something I would tell my younger self is to start traveling as soon as you can. The experiences you’ll find out there are unforgettable and will shape you in ways you can’t imagine. But I’d also remind myself to stay aware. Don’t be naïve; the world is beautiful, but there’s a lot happening around you. Take care of yourself. You are the most important person in your own life, so protect your energy, trust your instincts, and always put your wellbeing first.
My favorite way to give back to my community is...
My favorite way to give back to my community is by volunteering with cultural organizations that make the city feel alive. I’ve been part of events at Harbourfront Centre, Luminato, and the Toronto International Festival of Authors, supporting programs that bring people together through art, creativity, and shared experiences. Being involved in these spaces lets me meet incredible people, celebrate diverse voices, and contribute to the cultural heartbeat of the city.
Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I’m here because I love cultural exchange and genuine human connection. I want to meet locals, learn from them, share stories, and experience each city in a way that goes beyond tourism. Couchsurfing feels like the perfect space to create friendships that last longer than a trip.
Music, Movies, and Books
y favorite musician is Rubén Blades. His salsa has rhythm, soul, and deep messages about roots, politics, identity, and of course, love. I also follow many of the old‑school legends like Willie Colón, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Celia Cruz, Héctor Lavoe, and the list honestly goes on and on. On the electronic side, I enjoy Tiësto, Cloonee, Paul van Dyk, and many others. Writing this made me realize how many musicians I truly love. When it comes to books, the ones that come to mind right away are Cien años de soledad and Las travesuras de la niña mala. Both stories stay with you long after you finish them.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
One amazing (and definitely adrenaline‑filled) thing I’ve done was jumping off a bridge with friends who were into mountain climbing. They set up a secure line under the bridge, and the idea was to jump from one side and swing across like a giant pendulum. It was wild, unforgettable, and honestly one of the most intense moments of my life. I don’t think I’d do it again, it was a bit too risky but I survived with a huge smile and a story I’ll never forget.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I can offer great conversations and a positive attitude. I can share stories from Ecuador and life between Quito and Toronto. I can help with photography tips or even take a few portraits. I can recommend Latin American food and music. I respect your home, your time, and your routines. And if you like dancing, I’m always happy to join for salsa, electronic, or anything with a beat.
