Hi my name is France, I'm 27 years old french female. I am a computer science researcher in France, in Paris area. I love pets (big, small, every kind of pets), I am really sociable. I practice weightlifting 3 times a week, read when I still have time to, and I cook a lot. I really enjoy cooking, I am pretty good at it (except the desert, I am extremely bad for the desert, forget it). I am a very simple person. If I have to describe myself in a few terms, I would say loyal, optimist, humble, curious, and a great sense of humor.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
To help people, receive people. I know some good restaurants in paris, some nice places not on the tourists map. I always share them with foreign researchers at the lab, you're welcome to have it either.
Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I've Done
My PhD? maybe amazing is not the correct term. It would be more either "amazing" and "absolutely exausting".
Teach, Learn, Share
I was a teacher during a year at the university. I liked this experience, I was so affraid first, but I learnt so much about myself thanks to this experience. My biggest "life lesson" is "do not judge at first look", which is SO french (at least very very Parisien). French have good cheese, amazing wine and bad manners ... Before my first travel in Austria, I was cold and distant, judging everything badly or wrongly, thinking I came from the best nation ever. Until I met Quebec people: thanks to them I learnt to see beyond the appearance.
What I Can Share With Hosts
There's nothing more french than me, without the bad side: I am not arrogant and I dont pee in the street (except in case of pee emergency, we can't completely erase the french culture). My first name is France (for real, no joke, I can show my passport to proove it), my family name is french-french-and french again, and I live in Paris since ... forever. As a good french, I eat a baguette every-single-day and cheese at each meal. I can bring the traditionnal "mariniere" and "beret" with me if you want. No arrogance anymore, I lost it when I began to travel around the world.
My Interests
computer science and maths weightlifting, and sport more generally: I practice weightlifting, 3 times a week minimum. So far, I can weight 30kg at snatch and 42 at clean and jerk. I run once/two times a week, depending on my weightlifting coach. pets pets pets pets cook (cheese cheese and cheese) music+movies books
