I'm Frieda, 27 years old and live where the balkan meets the alps: Vienna. I like taking long walks, have recently been obsessed with playing table tennis, and have bought myself a tiny synthesizer which i like making noise with.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I have previously used Couchsurfing and it's been a great experience. Sometimes odd, but always rewarding. Right now I'm planning a trip through a part of the balkans and I'd love to take up Couchsurfing again! For me, it's a great way to really get to know a place, to meet locals and to exchange whatever we have to offer. If you're nice, I might even offer you a sleeping place in Vienna! (Unfortunately, my flat is not suited for very regular hosting, i'd have to get a second matrace first. So i'm leaving it at a more rare offer. So that's that. Sorry!)
Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: Recently very much into Habibi Funk, Koroush Yaghmaei, Japanese Ambient, Big Thief & other indie rock. MOVIES: Really want to re-watch Perfect Days by Wim Wenders. BOOKS: That's a hard one, i read a lot. Braiding Sweetgrass by Kimmerer changed my life, equally as Jenny Odells books (How to do nothing; Saving Time). Our great despair by Baris Bicakci is a great novel.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I learned to recognise and name over 250 local plant species! Still quite proud of that.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yes yes yes!
What I Can Share With Hosts
I can teach you a bit of all i know. Local dishes? Languages, linguistics? Bad jokes or poetry? You've got it all. Even book-binding.
