I’m an introvert who enjoys lively conversation as well as quiet, a lover of coffee, wine, sunrise, good books, and long runs. Since graduating from Knox College in 2012, I helped start and managed the Midwest community supported fishery component of a sustainable seafood company called Sitka Salmon Shares in Galesburg, Illinois. I’m now working in Sitka, Alaska. Through this work, I’ve learned a great deal about many facets of both business and our food system. And there is so much more I’d like to know. I'm a writer who dreams of traveling the world, at a pace slow enough to get to know a place, on foot as much as possible.
