I watched a dragonfly in Florida and realized what Mind and Life is. I held my father as he died. I built a camera to photograph a dust ring around another star. I spent a year of my life walking in the woods and mountains.

My wife and I are riding mountain bikes to Patagonia. I am a retired NASA engineer, I used to make radio telescope instruments to explore the origin of the universe. I have started a small engineering consulting business. My wife and I are living off the grid in the mountains south of Tucson, we are building a stone house ourselves when we are not engaged in some major travel adventure.
