Hi! My name is Isabella, born and raised in Jakarta. You can call me Bella, Isa, or whatever you feel comfortable with. I will be going back to Jakarta today, and I haven't done much with CS, just met a guy who called me 'delicious' despite being friendly (please don't mind him, had I known he'd write like that, I'd probably have written a different reference--sadly I wrote to him first) and then joined an event. I'm looking forward to more meetups I guess. And maybe next time I'll try to stay with someone :D

Interested in Dining out
Fluent in English

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
It's pretty hard for me to trust people I see as strangers in my eye. However, I feel I need to try and open my eyes, and I believe this would be a great media. So far, because I already have schedules on my own and I wanted location convenience, I opted for hostels instead. I'm available for meetups in Jakarta, and if I'm traveling somewhere again I'll try looking for people to share stories with!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift, , Lady Gaga, Armin Van Buuren, Enrique Iglesias, Edward Maya, Indila, Jhene Aiko, Marina and the Diamonds, Shakira, Evanescence, Yanni, Vanessa Mae, Moi dix Mois-- anything really just not screamo metal, hardcore metal or too much rap. Movies: Horror movies! Ju-on, The Conjuring, Shutter, Alone-- I get scared too, but I like watching them anyways xD Books: Historical romance. However lately I've been reading just informative non-fiction books like books on design or artists' life.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
When I was in Barcelona, there's this restaurant owned by an Asian couple. The name is sekiya, located near Generator Hostel, and they don't speak English. I think they spoke Spanish, but none of my friends nor I spoke Spanish, and then I saw their kids playing the computer, watching a cartoon with traditional Chinese subtitle, and I tried talking to them in Chinese. They spoke Chinese! I saved the day *pounds chest with fist proudly* so there were no more difficulties in communication from my group with them. I never thought a third language would be useful in situations such as this!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you either Indonesian or Mandarin. If you're learning/ you speak Mandarin, I can even be your speaking partner! I need someone to talk to as well ;) As for learning, I'm mostly open to learning anything. Languages, locals' habits, top spots in town, or anything really. Anything new would most likely be an intriguing aspect for me.
What I Can Share With Hosts
1. Stories and life experiences - About where I'm from, myself, travel experience, what I do in school, what I'm good at or what I like. Don't worry, I'll listen to your stories too! 2. About Jakarta and/or Indonesia - I can give suggestions or advices should you plan on coming here, or just want to ask about things! 3. Art - I could talk about them with you, or maybe even make something like a mini portrait picture :) As for a home, I'm afraid I can't yet since I am still staying with my parents. Let's see later when I have my own place.
My Interests
