Why I'm on Couchsurfing
To host: Mainly to help people and offer the world citizens a place to sleep while traveling, it is actually very easy to let someone sleep on your couch/spare bed, so why not? I'm glad to help others if possible :). Of course I'm also very interested in your culture and experiences, and I like to share the way we live, and all those things, blabla haha. To stay: Of course its cheaper than staying in a hotel or hostel, but this way i can really get in touch with my peers in other countries. Seeing their homes and ways of living, talking about differences in culture and experiences in life, i really think couchsurfing offers much more than just having a place to sleep.
