Hi my name is Jean-Baptiste! I am French and Hungarian and currently living in Switzerland. I am currently preparing a trip to Iceland, during which I plan to cross the country from North to South while hiking. I am currently looking to meet people in Reykjavik, while preparing for my trip. I enjoy traveling since my exchange year in Sydney, during which I discovered a passion for nature through unforgettable treks across untouched areas of the Oceanic subcontinent. Since then, as a passion, I’ve been seeking for the wildest and most unique treks in the world and hiked across the Alps, Norway, New Zealand, Australia and Spain. During the next 6 months, I am planning to visit the Arctic, and then travel to South America. Alongside my passion for trekking I am currently finishing my Master’s degree in Finance, at the university of St Gallen, in Switzerland. I also enjoy visiting cities, museums of modern art, as well as impressionist expositions. I have a curiosity for modern history, and therefore I also enjoy visiting history museums as well and discuss with people the evolution of humankind. See you soon!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
To be in touch with a broad community of travelers, and not tourists ;)
Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy a multitude of music genres, although there are some genre for which I attribute a lot of time and attention while listening. Here’s a few good songwriters/composers that I love: - Tame Impala (Alt, Psychedelic) - Pink Floyd - Junip (Alt) - The Blaze and Enfant Sauvage (electronic) For books, I am huge fan of - Mario Vargas Llosa - Javier Moro - Maupassant I also love essays about economics and history.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
- I got chased by sprinting German shepherds while cycling across Europe - I got lost in a Tasmanian forest a night while trekking the Overland Track. - I accident met the same couchsurfer 4 times during a four weeks trip in China in multiple cities
