I am a combat veteran. 2008 was the last time I saw combat yet I still feel the weight. I been to counseling, have been prescribed and used multiple drugs, but still haven't found my peace. I feel as if I've finally took a big first step about a week ago when a piece of the darkness just shattered and left me in a state as if I'd just woken up. I realized I live where I live because of comfort and convenience, not because I actually want to live here. Now that I have somewhat of a new outlook on things, I want to start my life fresh...well, start my life at all, really. I didn't have an early adulthood. I joined the military at 18 and have been in combat and/or high pressure environments ever since. I have always had an attraction to mountainous regions and I googled pictures and Colorado became one of my top 5 choices.
