At college, I got the opportunity to study abroad in the Czech Republic for 4 months. It was eye-opening. Ever since, I've been addicted to traveling when I can and meeting people from anywhere and everywhere. I'm a fiction writer, avid music lover (I go to a lot of shows!). Super into cooking and food. I teach literature, composition, and creative writing at university. Recent history: Been in Philly for almost three years. Before I was in Syracuse, NY for grad school. Before that, I was in Massachusetts for undergrad (I went to school late!). Before that, I was in Los Angeles for 12 years doing carpentry, building music studios, and playing music, lots of shows. Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Meeting people is one of my favorite things in life. I find that every individual has such a unique spirit/energy, and being able to get to know each other, even if briefly, is a great gift. I cherish the time I spend with people as learning from them and experiencing them (selfishly) gives me energy and life. I could only hope I do the same for others by being myself and sharing what I have. I find traveling incredibly enriching and always enlightening. To do that while incorporating different people around the world, I find, is a privilege and one I'd really like to experience.

What I Can Share With Hosts
I always bring good chill energy. I can bring humor (I see irony everywhere!). I love to cook and love to cook for or with people. I love making playlists and if you do request one it will be made in accordance to your energy (along with you sharing some of your favorite songs/artists for my aggregation). I am curious and open and its important for me to respect your space that I occupy.
My Interests
I used to be a musician in Los Angeles for 12 years. I really love playing music, as I find it kind of cathartic. Playing shows, or going to the show, and having fun with everybody there, dancing, playing and listening to good music.
