Mostly, I play music, and I think about things. I sing and I play traditional violin from different countries - Britain, America, Klezmer, Sweden, or France... but the thing I like best is improvising with people. I'm basically a jazz musician who doesn't play jazz. For the past few years I've also been spending a lot of my time attempting to write a book. It was supposed to be an entertaining book about the philosophy of economics, partly told through stories about elephants. If that sounds like a hard thing to write, it was. I'm still working on it. As well as that, I write and research part time as a journalist for a magazine on social and environmental issues. I really like talking to lots of different people, particularly ones who have interesting ideas, or are slightly crazy. I now live with Dylan-and-Ruth who are on here sperately, their mega-cute baby Aidan, and Ruth's brother Neil.
