Grew up in Sydney but now live on the Sunshine Coast Queensland where i have been for 20 years. Have 4 grown up children and 4 grandchildren I'm single and now retired and looking to do lots of travelling around the world. Have previously travelled a lot mainly in UK and Europe but looking to see more. I recently hosted a French couple out of the blue (privately) that needed some short term accommodation. We are staying in touch so has turned out to be a lovely experience.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I like the idea that you can meet local people and get away from the Hotel seclusion. I have stayed with families in Spain on another platform which was great experience so want to open my horizons on couchsurfing I am looking to travel for an extended period all over the world and hopefully meet people on my way and make new friends and make the trip memorable.
Music, Movies, and Books
All music but have soft spot for 70's from growing up in that era. Jethro Tull, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple etc. But still good music coming out today. If it sounds good to me I like it. Movies: Love Actually , V is for Vendetta, Dead Pool, Zoolander, French Kiss, anything funny or silly. Not a real book person
