I'm originally from the US, but I moved to Chile 11 years ago. Here I teach English at a University in Vina del Mar, and I do translations for a financial company. I have a 4-year old, but I still love to travel both with her and alone. Just last year, I visited 12 different countries.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I travel A LOT, and I also love meeting new people and learning new languages. I'd like to use Couchsurfing for my travels, and I'd also like to host people from different countries.
Music, Movies, and Books
My music tastes range from Hip-Hop to Country, with everything in between. My favorite movies are those that provide social criticism, like Amores Perros, American Beauty and Cidade de Deus. My favorite authors are Isabel Allende, John Grisham and Paulo Coelho.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Last year I took a 2-week solo trip to Australia, which included meeting and partying with new friends in Sydney, scuba diving in Cairns, sailing and snorkeling in the Whitsundays and traveling the Great Ocean Road near Melbourne.
