I live in a cozy little flat in Baden, a charming town just 25 minutes by train from Vienna’s main station. It’s the perfect combination: close enough to dive into Vienna’s vibrant cultural life, yet peaceful and green enough to breathe and relax. My guests stay in a separate bedroom, so you’ll have your own space. While my flat isn’t huge, it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere – and I can host up to three people if needed. I’m a teacher of English and German as a foreign language, and languages have always been my gateway to the world. I love how they connect people and open doors to new perspectives. I have two wonderful daughters: Lena (25), who is currently studying in Berlin, and Anna (23), who lives in Graz. They both bring so much curiosity and international spirit into my life – which probably explains my own love of travelling and discovering new cultures. Music is an essential part of who I am. I sing in a choir, play the organ in different churches, and enjoy sitting at the piano whenever I find a quiet moment. If you’re lucky, you might hear some music drifting through the flat during your stay. Travelling and meeting people from around the world is my absolute passion. I truly enjoy conversations at the kitchen table, sharing stories, laughter, and maybe a cup of tea (or a glass of Austrian wine). My home may be small, but it is open-hearted. You are very welcome here. 🌿

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I heard about this way of getting in contact with other people and cultures and thought: "hey, that's something for me". I like traveling especially by bike. I'd like to show people nice places in my country - and there is really an awful lot to be discovered!!
Music, Movies, and Books
I like popmusic (the greatest concert I've ever been to was Adele in Verona and in Munich). I also like classical music. And books? There are so many, but history novels (especially Ken Follett) are my favourite.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I like discovering places by bike. One of the most awesome tours I did was the trip from Brenner (border between Austria and Italy) to Lake Garda (Italy) in 2015. But there are so many other things I could tell you - if you want to know about that, I can tell you in person!
Teach, Learn, Share
As a teacher, I like to pass on knowledge, of course. I can teach you some German if you want. And you can show me something about your country! Cook something for me for example!! I'm a busy guy and I usually eat out - so I definitely would appreciate a home made meal.
What I Can Share With Hosts
we can play some music, I can show you places in the area, I like to play football, ping-pong, I like jogging and - cycling, of course. We have quite a lot of bikes at home which you can use!
