SHORT: love hitchhiking, hate making life choices. I like to smile, to listen and to advice. I don't like sunburns, mosquitoes and licorice. Hope to find back to my state of mind that I used to have before the pandemic. I am curious to meet you :) LONG: After finishing school (I like to call it the time since I got free to live) I started to travel a lot in Europe, mostly in France. Now I have the salad - German expression - I am not able to give up travelling anymore, it's my own little drug. It relaxes me. Every time I leave Germany I have a smile on my face (you will probably see me smile quite a lot^^). I am really thankful to what I am, to be German, and to have all the opportunities that come with it. But this shouldn't be a privilege. Everyone should have the right to go wherever and when he likes. Like Victor Hugo said once: "Ne soyons plus Anglais, ni Français, ni Allemands. Soyons Européens. Ne soyons plus Européens, soyons Hommes. Soyons l'humanité. Il nous reste à abdiquer un dernier égoïsme : La patrie."

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I want to discover how people live and think all over the globe. I want to share discussions with them, understand them a bit, because that's how I can develop myself, learning about my strength, weaknesses and limits. I try to understand the world and myself and that's only possible by discussing. I don't want to live in a comfortable little rabbit hole to have a big rabbit family and having the fear that the fox will eat us when we leave the hole. I am hitchhiking as often as I can and it helped me a lot to develop myself and hopefully a bit in developing the others. Trust is important.
Music, Movies, and Books
Don't like the question, I think knowing that about a person doesn't tell you anything about him/her. But okay, here we go... Jazz is always good but rock or pop or classic or whatever fits to my mood is cool too. Actually I don't have such a thing as a favorite book or film but if I go with action, fantasy, crime or thriller I'm good.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Once I made a tortilla without breaking it while flipping the sides. Never could reproduce it since then. Hitchhiking a lot in Europe. I will never forget this experience and the kindness I met during the travels. (Well at least I hope so because my memory is really horrible!)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some German if you want nd I am always pleased to learn whatever language you speak. You could teach me how to find enough motivation to do more sport than once in a month if you like sports. One day I knew how to knit socks. So I could try to teach you if you are fine in having two different sizes at the end ;) And juggling isn't that hard actually, you can find out.
What I Can Share With Hosts
Well, good time, some laughter and my way of life. Please write in your request "Kartoffel" so that I know if you have read my profile 💚
