I'm Sicilian and I've been living and working in Piedmont for three years. I currently work as a teacher (history and literature) and as a tour guide in Turin. If I had to define myself in one word I'd say "curious": I'm always keen to know new people, new cities, new realities and lifestyles - the most they are different from the ones I'm familiar with - the better. That has also to do with my main passion: writing. I've been into creative writing for several years and I've been teaching free classes of creative writing recently. As you can imagine, I'm a bookworm, definitely not a party animal, but I'm a very friendly and sociable person and I definitely enjoy talking about anything, possibly sharing a coffee/tea/drink.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love the philosophy of sharing - experiences, spaces, journeys. I'm quite an introvert person and, when I travel alone, couchsurfing has always helped me come out from my comfort zone and enjoy the warmth of social relations. Also, I always prefer visit a new country "behind the scenes", rather than the most beaten path: I think Couchsurfing is the best way to do it.
Music, Movies, and Books
It is always difficult to choose, but among my favourite books I would mention these: Madame Bovary, Lolita, American Pastoral, anything by Daniel Pennac, The adversary by Carrere, the short stories by Pirandello, the short stories by Alice Munro.
My Interests
I like reading, writing, painting, travelling. I love being in nature and hiking
