Hello! My name is Lulu and I grew up in the Bay Area. I've also lived Oregon and Washington. I grew up moving and traveling a lot and always have an itch to travel. I love meeting new people and learning about different communities. Some of my favorite things are podcasts, happy hour, and the Oxford comma. I also just moved to a farm and would love to share about my experience of regenerative farming to folks.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to travel and meet new people! Growing up, my family would often stay with family and family friends while traveling. My family has had a lot of different people stay at our house throughout the years. I find it really fun to stay with people. You get to know someone and their community better that way :)
Music, Movies, and Books
Music - I like a lot of different types of music. Hip-hop / rap, pop, indie / alternative, classical / choral... the list goes on. Some of my favorite artists right now are Chance the Rapper, Jamila Woods, Kina Grannis, Gungor, The Brilliance, and Ruby Ibarra. Movies & TV Shows - Parks & Rec, Grey's Anatomy, Law & Order, SNL, Inside Out, Moana, The Breakfast Club
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Summer 2014 I was in a typhoon! I had an opportunity to travel to the Philippines for the first time. I'm Filipino American and I had wanted to go to the Philippines for a really long time but the opportunity hadn't presented itself yet. On a whim I took a trip to the Philippines and it was definitely a trip of a lifetime. We were staying in the mountains in Tagaytay. The Philippines has typhoons all the time during summer and we were told a low class typhoon was coming in. This typhoon actually ended up being the worst one to ever hit the area. My travel group was fairly safe but I got to see first hand one of the huge struggles my community goes through regularly. It was amazing to see how hospitality and resilient the local community was.
