Hi everyone ! I'm Matthieu, a french guy trying to make a good story up of my life ! Back in 2016, I decided to quit my engineering school where I was studying. So I went on a trip with my bike 'Billy' and 35 kilos of my belongings on it. This journey in Europe went a lot further than I expected. The countryside in Albania, the Alps in Austria or the sea in Greece just to name a few. This was the best experience I could dream of. Now that I'm back in France, I split my life between working on my laptop, enjoying a couple of beers with my friends and thinking to the next destination I can go with Billy !

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
No matter where and how far you go, there is always someone to help you out in difficult situations. That's why if I can give back what I received while travelling, it would be with pleasure ! Obviously, I'm always looking forward to discover a different culture and meet some people ! So I'll be glad to host you for a couple of days, and cook some french specialities ;)

One Amazing Thing I've Done
I can describe this as the most painful and physically difficult day of my life. When I was biking in Austria, I decided to climb up the highest pass of the country which peaks at 2 504m.. After 7 hours of climbing, I got to the top barely alive but the view was completely worth it ! When I was in Bosnia Herztegovina, I jumped off the bridge of Mostar, 26m high, this was an awesome sensation as well !

My Interests
I tried some outdoor stuff when I was in Austria, mountain biking, climbing, it was a lot of fun ! Now I love it, unfortunatly in my hometown, the landscape is flat.. At least there's the ocean not far from here ! I read a lot as well, mostly novels. So if you're interested in french books, you can pick one of mine ! I'm interested in yoga and meditation, so if you have some knowledge about it, let me know ! I'll be more than happy if you can teach me some stuff !
